This circus was reported by Animal Rahat when it was camping in Bijapur District, Karnataka. It was in possession of 15 animals, including 9 dogs, 3 goats, 2 horses and a camel, which were kept without the permission of the Animal Welfare Board of India. Moreover, the circus was forcing the animals to perform by subjecting them to abusive and torturous training. The living conditions too violated all laws – the dogs were found crammed into small cages and sitting in dirt and filth. One dog had a serious foot injury and there was scarcely any food or water for them. The camels and horses also showed permanent physical injuries, as a direct result of abusive training.

Supported by FIAPO, the local animal protection organisations pooled their resources and were able to rescue the animals and move them to shelters in Pune and Sangli. The matter was also brought to the notice of the AWBI, whose intervention was also indispensable for the rescue operation.
