India For Animals is a national conference organised by Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations (FIAPO) to bring together all organisations and activists working for animal rights. Being a one of its kind event happening in India, this conference is the premier event of FIAPO and marks the celebration of animal rights in India.

The conference allows activists and organisations to collectively understand the progress of the animal rights movement in India and to dialogue about the significant issues pertaining to animals and how to move forward. The conference is a chance for hundreds of grassroots activists, practitioners and philanthropists from across the country to get together under a common banner and connect, build and learn from each other.

In 2016, India For Animals conference was held from October 21 to 23 at The Lalit Hotel, Mumbai. Taking the legacy forward, IFA 2016, had a number of resourceful discussions, panels and small-group breakouts where delegates shared and collaborated on strategies to protect animals.

Some of the sessions included discussions and debates on Managing and Running Effective ABC Programmes; Fundraising for Animals; Improving Adoption Programmes; Rescue and First-Aid without a Shelter; Social Media and Internet Activism; Volunteer Recruitment and Management; Working with Law Enforcement and Running Local-Campaigns.
