Underfed and partially blind, this pony was beaten regularly and forced to perform

This circus was camped in Wardha district, Maharashtra, and was using a pony, a goat and two dogs for performance, without registration with the AWBI. The animals were kept, trained and used to perform under inhuman conditions. PFA Wardha unit lead the rescue and rehabilitation of these animals. The organisation filed a complaint against the circus, and successfully returned the animals to their owner. The circus also gave a written undertaking that it would, in future, not use any animals for performance without prior government permissions.
