FIAPO urges Centre to allocate fund in next budget for training of police dept

Hyderabad, Jan 28 (UNI) Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations (FIAPO),
India’s apex animal rights organisation, on Monday requested the center to allocate fund in the
union budget to be presented in Parliament on February 1, for the training of police department on
the existing animals laws and also for the welfare of the animals in the country.
With increase in the amount of cruelty cases reported every now and then, there is a need to
increase and train the police personnel in respect with animals laws and the procedures,
Federation Campaign coordinator Sonali Gupta said in a letter addressed to Union Minister
Arun Jaitley.
