Katie Price is reportedly having to sell her beloved animals after being hit by financial difficulties. The 40-year-old is said to have asked her estranged husband to sell their menagerie of pets, from guinea pigs to llamas and even her prized horses in order to help with her financial blip. She is reportedly asking for £2,000 each for the llamas, but is struggling to find a buyer. She is also said to be looking at selling her beloved horses for £7,000 to an equestrian centre near her home.
A source revealed to The Sun: ‘Katie hasn’t had the easiest time of late, and isn’t as flush as she was. ‘She told Kieran to get rid of the animals but he’s been struggling to offload the llamas for £2,000 a pop.
‘He’s selling her prize horses for £7,000 to an equestrian centre near her West Sussex home. And she has been touting the guinea pigs, goats and rabbits to friends and family.’ The publication also claimed her ex Peter Andre has put a stop to the sale of her two sphynx cats Dobby and Hagrid and hedgehog Peggy as they belong to their children Princess and Junior. The sales will come as a huge blow for Katie, who has always been a huge animal lover and having been particularly vocal about her love of horses.
Katie recently revealed how her split from husband Kieran after learning of his latest infidelity left her depressed. She claimed she was ‘mentally abused and manipulated’ amid the breakup of her third marriage, as Kieran admitted to affairs and claimed he had a sex addiction. ‘There were days I’d wake up and didn’t want to get out of bed,’ Katie said at the launch of the second series of her show, My Crazy Life. ‘Kieran made me feel like that. I would think, “What have I got to get up for?” ‘Yeah I was depressed and mentally abused and it was so difficult [to film] this show. ‘You can see in my eyes I’m sad.’
