Hisar: Paying a visit to another gaushala (cow shelter) located in Sisai village of Hansi area of Hisar district on Tuesday, Delhi chief minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal alleged that Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar is a fake cow devotee as he and his party seek votes in the name of cow, but do not give fodder.
Kejriwal said the Delhi government gives Rs 40 per cow per day and Khattar government gives only 40 paise per cow per day. In the same way, he said the cow is a beloved animal than other animals, but these people work for rioting and doing wrong politics in the name of the cow.
He also said everybody knows that the Delhi government had rejuvenated schools and hospitals, has the cheapest electricity rate in the country and gives compensation for farmers Rs 20,000 per acre. “Many might not know that we also have cured the gaushalas of Delhi. Bawana Gaushala of Delhi has also got the best gaushala award,” he said.
The Delhi chief minister said the AAP is fighting the second battle of independence. “This party originated from Anna movement and we have faced police sticks, have gone to jail during this movement and formed this party in compulsion. We do not have to do politics, but we want to fulfill the dreams of our freedom fighters,” he added.
Kejriwal said, “It was difficult for us to run the government in Delhi. The central government is stopping all our work. But Modi did the worst job by stopped the scheme to pay Rs 1 crore to the family of the martyrs and we had to go to Supreme Court. After getting permission from the Supreme Court, we can re-implement the scheme to give the honorarium of Rs 1 crore to the martyrs’ family.”
State AAP president Naveen Jaihind said that BJP leaders claimed to be great devotees of a cow, but they keep dogs instead of cows at their homes. The Delhi government is taking care of farmers and the Khattar government has nothing to do with the farmers, he added.
