‘It Peed on my Clothes’, Says Student Who Killed Puppy by Throwing it Off Terrace in Tamil Nadu

Chennai, Nov 3: In yet another case of atrocity against animals, a final year mechanical engineering student in Katpadi of Vellore in Tamil Nadu threw a puppy off a terrace of an apartment complex. The incident happened last week on Saturday when the puppy wandered out and reached the apartment of the accused.

The Katpadi police has registered a case against the student identified as Vishesh Iyengar, based on the complaint filed by animal welfare activists.

A month-old-puppy, who was found in a bruised condition, was rescued by a resident of Vaibhav Nagar in Katpadi. The man used to feed the puppy daily and even got it vaccinated. Soon, the puppy became a part of his family. He has been quoted by TOI as saying that the puppy was a small bundle of joy and everyone in his house got attached to him in no time.

Notably, the Vishesh has also been accused of killing another puppy in the same manner after which he reportedly posted in a WhatsApp group, ‘1 down, 1 more to go, doggy tales’. On being questioned about the same by the group members, Vishesh openly admitted to killing the animal. “They peed on my clothes dude” was the excuse he gave for killing the two puppies.

The caretaker of the puppy said that the message by Vishesh, after killing the first puppy, makes it clear that he had planned killing their pet too.
