FIAPO’s Living Free in collaboration with Centre for Effective Vegan Advocacy (CEVA) is organising – ‘The Art of Activism’, a workshop series in Bangalore, Pune, and New Delhi on how to up your game in vegan advocacy
The cherry on top of the cake (Vegan Cake of course!) is that the workshop is being conducted by none other than Dr. Melanie Joy and Tobias Leenaert, world-renowned vegan experts.
Dr. Melanie Joy is a Harvard-educated psychologist, celebrated speaker, strategist, and award-winning author of the book Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows. She developed the theory of carnism that you all may know, talks about the psychology of meat eating.
In this workshop, she will educate us on how to recognize and respond to defensiveness – in meat eaters and ourselves – as well as ways to avoid getting caught up in unproductive or counterproductive communications about eating animals
Tobias Leenaert is an international speaker, vegan advocate, strategist and the author of, How to Create a Vegan World. He is the heart and soul behind the very popular blog – The vegan strategist (http://veganstrategist.org/) that almost every aspiring vegan activist must have gone through.
His sessions will help us in figuring out effective and ineffective communication styles and arguments for veganism and introduce us new ways to approach advocacy.
These two, together have conducted over 31 such workshops in 24 countries around the world, mobilising more than 2,000 activists like us to push their boundaries and become even better advocates for the animals.
