The biennial India for Animals (IFA) national conference is a one of its kind event that marks the celebration of animal rights in India. The conference provides a platform to hundreds of grassroots activists, practitioners and philanthropists from across the country. IFA helps people get together under a common banner to connect, build and learn from each other.
The 4th India for Animals conference was held at The Lalit Hotel, Mumbai from 21st to 23rd October, 2016. Over 300 national and international delegates attended the conference that witnessed participation across different spheres- dog protection, wildlife conservation, and cattle protection among others.
Nearly 50 awe-inspiring speakers including Vandana Shiva, Anand Grover, Bittu Sahgal, Chinny Krishna, Gen. Kharb, inspired the gathering on issues encompassing the Animal Protection Movement in the country - right from cattle protection, wildlife conservation, to street and companion animal issues, and the innumerable informative workshops amidst others.
And there was more- stalls which helped spread the message of compassionate living, to the ones promoting veganism, live video outreach, special sessions based on requests from delegates, made IFA 2016 live up to the triumphant motto of 'Share. Learn. Inspire.'
