The PFA unit in Raipur was established to curb the increasing human-dog conflict in the city. After launching a successful ABC programme for dogs in the city, they have not looked back and till date, they have rescued more than 3000 animals from the street, including dogs, bird, cows, monkeys, snakes and several other species of animals.

Due to the lack of animal protection facilities in the state of Chattisgarh, they generally get rescue cases from across the state. With increasing cases of rescued animals, they felt the requirement of a bigger shelter space for keeping animals.  For a hassle free environment for animals in their shelter, PFA Raipur was given some land from the state government for the construction of a better facility.

As most shelters, they are completely dependent on donations to pay their staff, for medicines, food, transport, cleaning, organising adoption drives and any other miscellaneous activities performed by the shelter unit. While reaching out to Ms. Kasturi from the unit, we tried to understand about her requirements, and one of the major concerns was raising funds for the shelter. Fundraising is undoubtedly one of the most important aspects responsible for running and NGO. As per their requirement, we prepared a fundraising proposal for the shelter unit, while also imparting different mechanisms for  the same.

We hope this endeavor is helpful for PFA Raipur and helps them solve their issues and help them build their capacity.
