Senior Manager: Fundraising (Institutions and Major Donors)
FIAPO is looking for a Senior Manager - Fundraising (Institutions and Major Donors) with a proven track record in raising funds from Institutional sources (trusts, foundations, and companies) and high net worth individual donors.
What’s expected
The person will implement a strategy to raise 80% of the organisation’s annual budget from Indian trusts, foundations, corporations, and HNIs. The person will be driven by the desire to make the federation self-reliant on domestic sources of income within the next two years.
They will be responsible end to end - for systematically researching new opportunities, generating leads, developing and making pitches, closing deals, building and maintaining relationships with donors, reporting, and managing budgets.
Since FIAPO is a federation, the right person will work to not just raise funds for FIAPO’s work, but be a brand ambassador for animal welfare and rights, so as to increase the total amount of funding available to the whole animal protection sector.
The right person will have exceptional communication skills, verbal, written, and social media. Since much of this work involves talking to people, the person must - in addition to loving animals - be interested in and enjoy talking to people.
