Vegan Advocacy

WHAT WE DO

Transforming Attitudes and Behaviour Towards Farmed Animals

FIAPO's Vegan Advocacy Campaign aspires for a vegan world in which animals are not exploited and  killed for food, clothing, or other human wants. Dedicated to transforming how society views and treats farmed animals, the campaign solely runs on the strength of collaboration with diverse vegan advocacy groups, plant-based nutrition experts, individuals, NGOs, and organisations across India. Together, we aim to build a united community committed to ending animal exploitation.

Living Free

FIAPO’s flagship Living Free campaign was  initiated in April 2013. The campaign used a variety of outreach methods to help people change their lifestyle habits and cause the least harm possible to animals. Living Free derived its uniqueness and strength from the fact that it was run solely on the strength of local leaders and organisations who conducted workshops, seminars, and street outreach events ranging from leafleting to virtual reality to potlucks! Our local vegan leaders, with their wonderful group of activists, are the backbone of the programme who disseminate knowledge to people about the livestock industry and help people make compassionate lifestyle choices.

Vegan Academy

Our Vegan Academy programme aims to build leaders among individual activists and in organisations in the field of animal rights and vegan advocacy. We offer five-week capacity-building courses led by both international and Indian experts, covering essential skills such as effective communication, campaign management, and legal considerations. Our goal is to cultivate leaders who are well-equipped to champion veganism and advocate for the protection of farmed animals across India.

Educational alliances

The Educational Alliances programme aims to integrate veganism and animal rights education into the curriculums of Indian educational institutions. By collaborating with educational experts and institutions, we are developing comprehensive courses on vegan culinary arts and animal rights. This program also includes training for educators and advocacy efforts to ensure these important subjects are incorporated into academic programs nationwide.

21 Day Challenge

The 21-Day Vegan Challenge is a transformative initiative designed to support individuals in exploring and adopting a vegan lifestyle. By providing structured guidance, practical resources, and community support over a three-week period, this challenge helps participants transition and sustain a plant-based diet and lifestyle with ease.
